The Damned The Odeon Edinburgh 13th November 1981

On this night in 1981, The Damned Friday the 13th EP was unleashed.... and what a fine slab of vinyl it was and still is, featuring as it does the wonderful tribute to the late Malcolm Owen, 'The Limit Club' with its intro so reminiscent of the 'World in Action' theme.... you have to be 50 plus to know that one!

Enjoy a slice of The Damned at their peak.

  1. a piece of useless info....although Roman Jugg performed live duties at this point, he never actually played on the ep...it was, however, his Hammond organ the band borrowed for it.

  2. on the attached info folder...the guy mentions that this was probably the only time all 4 songs from the ep were ever played...I've got Rotter's, Doncaster from 3 days later and all 4 were played. I don't think Billy Bad Breaks got past 1981 though.

  3. We broke the seats and vanian came on spinning around waiving a crucifix
Scabies solo was the best I have seen, headbutting a drum too
The Odeon was a brilliant venue
