10 From '87 (5) Cockney Rejects Centro Social La Cuesta Arnedo La Rioja 10th April 1987

This is quite a rare recording I am led to believe, released as a Spanish pressed bootleg in 1987 entitled 'Greatest Hits Volume IV - Live In Spain'.

Not quite sure where they were in their career at this point, but the set only includes a couple of tracks from their hard rock years, plus a cover of the Kinks' 'Til' The End Of The Day'. The rest of the set is from the 'Greatest Hits Volume I' and 'Greatest Hits Volume II' era for which they are best known.

  2. in the mid 1980`s (hard rock period) they learned a hard lesson from a usa promoter.

the story goes from the Jeff (stinky) turner biography

they were booked for a big usa tour, this was just after the wild ones album maybe possibly the second hard rock album was either released or in the pipline.

so anyway the story goes in the book, they got over to Los angeles airport and were met by the promotrer and a press crew, but then suddenly the promoter starts asking about setlists and blabbing on titles from the 1st two records, "well we play a few of those but we are a rock band now" so promoter asks further, then the brown stuff hits the fan a while afterwards when they see the press ads.

"greatest hits tour" which basically has every song from the punk / OI! period, so another story cut very short the basic jist is the promoter pulled the plug and the band ended up stranded in L.a. with no money no job but still with work visas, so anyway story goes micky geggus went on building sites while stinky managed to get a job as an extra in films.

now i`ve never seen TOP GUN but apparently there is a scene with a janitor (mop and bucket) well thats stinky turner
