This one's for Dave Sez who I had the great pleasure of sharing a few pints with last night in Bishops Stortford. The reason being this was his first Stranglers gig... and that should always be marked!

    And to return the favour, I've gone digging and come up with two promo pics from the Raven tour - can't find the tour programme yet though. Just for fun, I've also added a classic pic of JJ in the 100 Club around 1976-77 and a scan of the badges I wore around this time - my Raven and Meninblack badges and (sniff!) the classic Clash-crossed-out-Stranglers Rattus promo badge also seem to have gone walkies for the moment.     Cannot wait for this. The Rainbow gig in London on this tour was my first ever Stranglers gig and I've never been to a better one (by anyone) since. The memory of that brilliant white light shining through the Raven's eye will stay with me forever.

    Hey Musky - that's a bummer. I can think of nothing I'd rather own more than a tangible link to that night. It certainly made up for the fact that my first gig should have been Battersea Park, but it coincided with the third week of my first ever (Saturday) job, and simpering conscientious 15-year-old soul that I was, did not think it was acceptable to ask for leave so soon after starting!
